Moving Your Mountain

This is a powerful verse to commit to memory.

Mark 11:23

For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.

A mountain can be symbolic of an obstacle, hindrance, or insurmountable problem and Faith is the key that releases the resources of heaven into our situation. Many write this passage of scripture off as a hyperbole and say that Jesus wasn’t talking about an actual mountain but used such graphic language to stress the importance and power of faith. But in saying that, lets not forget that we serve the God who parted the Red Sea, caused His people to cross over the Jordan River on dry land and used an earthquake to set Paul and Silas free when they were wrongly imprisoned for preaching the Gospel! So even if you find yourself in unimaginable situations, know that heaven’s resources are not limited when it comes to rescuing you out of the hands of the enemy.

Whenever Jesus prayed, He always prayed with God’s interests in mind. While it is not wrong to express our desires to our heavenly father, it’s important that we keep God’s interest in mind as the Spirit of God leads us to pray. But take comfort, because God loves you and He wants to do you good and make you happy! So know that if it concerns you, it concerns Him and when His children pray, He hears them.
